On June 21, Dance Is Life returns to the historic Asbury Park Boardwalk Carousel Building for a revolutionary celebration of Latin Hustle with An Illuminated Hustle Dance Party.

Born from the vibrant streets of the South Bronx, Latin Hustle isn’t just a dance — it’s a powerful narrative of resilience, creativity and community. Dance Is Life is thrilled to bring it to the Asbury community with this free intergenerational dance party, where traditional dance norms are shattered, anyone can lead, gender is fluid and every dancer is free to move in their own way.

To add to the evening, Luminous Abstract will be illuminating the space with their mesmerizing digital art and projection mapping, transforming it into a living, breathing canvas of movement and light. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never stepped onto a dance floor, this is your invitation to connect, to feel and to be truly seen.

This event is also in partnership with the Asbury Park Dance Festival, an arts education advocacy initiative that brings world-class dancers and dance companies to the Jersey Shore for performances and free educational experiences. The goal is for budding artists and art lovers to have access to what they need to pursue their dreams of either living a life in the arts or being enriched by having access to them.
