This summer, you don’t have to book a flight to New Orleans to experience the sounds of the Big Easy at the Jersey Shore. Asbury favorites The Ocean Avenue Stompers are joining forces with New Orleans’ Soul Project NOLA for a solid afternoon of funky grooves and swinging tunes at Funk Fest.

Soul Project NOLA brings over two decades of authentic Crescent City funk, led by guitarist/vocalist Jon Cristian Duque, protégé of the legendary Walter “Wolfman” Washington. Their tight rhythm section delivers infectious grooves and precision arrangements that have wowed audiences from coast to coast and across Europe.

Meanwhile, the Ocean Avenue Stompers represent the finest musical talent the Eastern Seaboard has to offer, a collective of elite touring musicians from the Jersey Shore, Philadelphia and NYC scenes who make musical magic every time they join forces. With a rotating cast of 50+ world-class players, each Stompers performance is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
