Experience the awe-inspiring beauty and power of dance at Newark Dances – a thrilling choreography festival spotlighting local dance artists and choreographers. This unique event will be held on Saturday, June 24th, at the iconic Newark Public Library. It is absolutely free and open to everyone.
The event shines a light on the art of movement as some of the area’s most talented choreographers and dancers bring an exciting array of dance styles to the stage, from tap and contemporary to hip hop and more. Choreographers and dance artists featured at Newark Dances include Zoey Crenshaw, Ray Ruiz, Susan Ramirez, Cole Collective, Travis Love, Company of Collaborative Artists (CoCA), Andrea Ward, Evelyn Tejeda and Cecilia Mitchell. The event is produced by Monifa Kincaid, a visual artist and former contemporary dance choreographer.
