Atlantic City TOURS presents Sisters – An Art Exhibit w/ Spoken Word, Music Performances, & Candid Conversations about Women. The free event unveils 15 oil-to-canvas paintings by Visual Artist Lawani Sunday that were created to tell unique true stories of women to bring awareness to women’s issues in Atlantic City and around the world. The Exhibit also showcases over a dozen Atlantic City and surrounding area spoken word, visual, and music artists with themes for, by, or about women.
Conversations about the meaning, inspiration, application, cause, and impact of the artists’ works will begin daily at 3pm with Journalist Deborah Robinson, followed by spoken word and music performances. In addition to performances and talks, artists will be giving live-art demonstrations, such as learning painting techniques from Sunday, an international artist, lecturer, and professor. Presenting the event is Atlantic City TOURS. The company is new to Atlantic City but certainly not new to the event space, where they have 50+ years of experience creating and producing events, concerts, interviews, television shows, video productions, etc. The organization offers regular gatherings for residents and visitors that include live streaming, podcasts, panel discussions, receptions, lectures, and acoustic performances.
