Looking for a banger of a show filled with some of the best local talent from a variety of creative disciplines? Soup Can’s Candemonium will hit the spot. The free event, sponsored by Soup Can Magazine, features a lineup of local legends that include some of the most talented musicians, spoken word poets and a variety of art creators in southern NJ. From indie rock to hip hop to soulful ballads, this show promises to captivate audiences from start to finish.
Featured acts include the spoken word and hip-hop artist crew Chris Rockwell Collective and Atlantic City’s own Shawn Rock, whose music was recently recognized by the Tri-State Back History Committee. Also performing are poets Paradise Crysty, Kenny Kp Walker and Bernard Collins (who will also be exhibiting his art). The event takes place at C.R.O.P.S., a non-profit dedicated to facilitating growth and community through farmers markets, public gardens and educational programming in Atlantic City.
Soup Can Magazine is New Jersey’s premiere quarterly art, poetry, and cultural publication committed to providing a platform for Atlantic City creatives. As such, the event features artists the magazine has covered over the years.
