Under the theme STRONGER TOGETHER this year’s program aligns with the culturally recognized holiday, Juneteenth, honoring the legacy, contributions, and economic empowerment of Black Americans and their creative spirits. Over three transformative days, Newark Symphony Hall will welcome 4,000+ participants, fostering economic growth, creative collaboration, and career development for Black artists and entrepreneurs.
Highlights:
Strategic Audience Development – The new Cocktails & Creatives series, held on February 21, April 3, and May 15, featuring thought-provoking discussions with Black creative leaders, highlighting diverse pathways to success.
“Invest in the Next” Day (June 18) – 300 high school juniors engaged in hands-on training in film, sound, lighting, and the business of entertainment.
**Power of Black Voices & Think Tank Black (June 19) **– In Partnership with Newark Tech Week – An immersive Tech Town Hall addressing the barriers faced by Black innovators, driving actionable solutions for equity in the industry.
Classic Black Celebration & Concert (June 20) – Presented by Earn Your Leisure – A performance featuring a celebrity lineup, merging entertainment, financial literacy, and culture to close out the summit with an unforgettable experience.
