In celebration of Juneteenth, KYDS invites you to Springwood Park for Soul Care in the Park, a family-friendly experience rooted in breath, movement, meditation, dance and deep communal healing that reminds us why showing up for ourselves and each other is so important.

This isn’t a workout. This isn’t a performance. This is an invitation to slow down in the middle of a day of celebration and come home to your body, fully, intentionally and in community.

Activities include:

• Guided breathwork
• Gentle yoga-based movement
• Mindful stillness
• Embodied dance

The event, held in partnership with Inspire Life for the Asbury Park Juneteenth Festival, is designed to guide you on a soulful journey that is at once grounding and liberating. It invites the community to ground, reflect and celebrate liberation. There will be plenty of space to release what you’ve been carrying, restore what has been depleted and remember that caring for the body is resistance, reclamation and a revolutionary act.

Note: This is an outdoor event. Come as you are. Wear something you can move in. Some yoga mats will be available, but we recommend you bring your own if you have one.
