The Lyrics Matter Foundation announces its inaugural Lyrics Matter: The Salon Series 2024, hosted and curated by Grammy nominated multi-platinum selling recording artist, actress and arts educator Rah Digga. The series is a gathering of cultural creatives—established, indie and buzzing and emerging—to network, enjoy beverages, light bites and a live music performance by Who’s Next. The The Lyrics Matter Foundation, founded in Newark, NJ, works locally and globally is to conduct skills-based workshops for adolescents ages 16 – 24. The Lyrics Matter: The Salon Series reflects on that mission by featuring a fireside chat with artist and founder Rah Digga in an educational one-on-one dialogue with a music industry professional about the business of music and entertainment. The special North to Shore edition of The Salon Series event will take place from 6 – 9PM at Clement’s Place, located at at 15 Washington Street, downtown Newark in partnership with Rutgers University–Newark’s Institute of Jazz Studies.
