Uptown Takeover is a free, all-day celebration where skateboarding culture, live music, visual art and community pride converge in one raw, electric space. Presented by Skate AC and professional skateboarder Ronnie Kessner, the event brings some of the top professional skateboarders in the industry to Atlantic City for live demonstrations and best trick contests showcasing the most advanced riding in the sport today. Whether you’ve skated your whole life or have never stepped on a board, watching these athletes in person is nothing short of breathtaking.

In addition to the sick tricks and maneuvers, a live rock and roll band sets the soundtrack for the day. At the same time, stunning mural installations will go up in real time, featuring original artwork honoring the legacy of Bob Marley and weaving together the themes of soccer, skateboarding, youth culture and unity. The murals pay tribute to the family legacy of Skate AC President Rohan Marley, grounding the experience with a true sense of local pride and history.

This is a day designed for youth, families, artists, skaters and anyone who believes in the power of creativity and community to transform a place. Expect plenty of positive energy, inspired culture and authentic Atlantic City spirit you can’t find anywhere else.
