June is all about celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and nowhere is that more prevalent than the Asbury Book Cooperative’s Day of Queer Celebration as part of the North to Shore Festival on June 15. Start the morning with Drag Queen Story Time with Miss Savannah Georgia, New Jersey’s premier “Old School Glamor Queen.” Then continue with live music in the afternoon and a live tap-dancing performance in the evening. There will also be queer resource tables and giveaways throughout the day.
The Asbury Book Cooperative is dedicated to showcasing local artists, artisans, writers and musicians. The ABC stocks and sells a variety of books and products, and offers programs that provide cultural, literary and intellectual value to its distinctive and engaged community of readers and creators around the Asbury Park area.
