This summer, the Makerhoods Courtyard in Newark transforms into something rare: an open-air gathering filled with great food, music and company, and where the night itself becomes a work of art. Welcome to A Night in White: Music & Projection Under The Stars, a sophisticated, elegant celebration of music, art and community connection.

Up to 100 guests—dressed in white—will take their seats at long communal tables draped in white linens, beneath a sky lit by projection-mapped visuals that turn the surrounding architecture into a living canvas.

The night’s musical centerpiece is Tronikia, a neo-soul and electronic collective led by Davion Cottrell Miller and Victor Daze. Their sound—soulful, layered and deeply alive—moves between intimacy and immersion in a way that few live experiences can. Guiding the flow of the evening, DJ Dana J, in collaboration with Grounded Music Education, sets the tone from the first arrival and closes the night with an upbeat set that carries the energy all the way to the end.

Between performances, 15 curated vendors from Newark and across New Jersey bring local food and goods to the table—literally. Every detail, from the choreography of the evening to the vendors on site, reflects a deep commitment to community and craft.
