Back by popular demand! Asbury Park Dance Festival and North to Shore present Dance is Life: A Hustle Dance Party. This free and inclusive dance party is for everyone of all experience levels. Don’t know The Hustle? No problem! There will be plenty of time for instruction, demonstration and social interaction. And while you’re at it, learn about how the dance floor of the early 70’s created a deep connection to civil rights, gay rights, women’s rights and American culture.

Led by former Principal Dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company and Hustle evangelist, Abdiel Jacobsen, and world-renowned DJ and co-founder of Soul in the Horn, Natasha Diggs, participants of all skill levels will experience, firsthand, this vibrant dance form. A Dance Is Life event brings the art of dance directly to the attendees in a welcoming, celebratory environment.
