Gina Roché’s “Music from the Prohibition Era with a Twist!”

06/20/24 @ 7pm

The Chelsea Pub and Inn, Atlantic City

The Gina Roché group will take you on a musical journey, back in time to the 1920s where the music was swinging, the dancers were tapping, and the joint was full of excitement. All in the magic garden at the Chelsea Inn, a historic hotel and pub, founded in 1858 in Atlantic City. The structure has been part of the Atlantic City landscape since 1880. The Music From the Prohibition Era With a Twist! concert will feature Gina Roché, long time Atlantic City, performer and resident. Her group will transport you back in time to the vibe of the 500 club, owned by Paul “Skinny” D’Amato, who was also known as “Mr. Atlantic City.” This is tribute to our beloved Atlantic City for the entertainment and music it has provided and continues to provide for seekers of the arts and music! The twist portion will highlight a few prohibition songs with the added gift of a few tap dance numbers. We will bring forward musical history and turn it into something new and exciting! $12 from every ticket sold will go directly to Atlantic City Highschool/ACHS drama club expenses in support of our future musical artists!
