Step inside Newark’s legendary glass studio GlassRoots for GLOW Newark! and enter a world where art is something you forge with your own hands, over open flame, beside master craftspeople who’ve spent years bending fire to their will.

For four electric hours, GLOW Newark! transforms the studio into a roaring “hot shop,” where heat, color and creation are all tools at your fingertips. You’ll move through hands-on stations where you can sculpt radiant glass flowers, fashion intricate beads over open flame or shape glass soccer balls that nod to Newark’s deep soccer roots and the city’s role as a proud FIFA World Cup 2026 host.

Both demonstration and participation, this event brings together teaching artists and glass craftspeople who work alongside you, guiding your hands through something ancient and alive.
