The North to Shore Festival and the Happy Mondays series return to the Wonder Bar this June for more nights of indie rock that prove the local scene is as alive and loud as ever. 

Malibu — The synth-laced alt-pop band is back after a long detour, sharper and grittier than ever, channeling The Strokes, The 1975 and Joy Division into a sound that feels like a late-night dive bar at its absolute best. 

Blush — Blush is Asbury Park’s most feel-good four-piece, where groove is always in the heart. Built on the rare chemistry of four distinct vocalists and a commitment to sun-soaked sonics with real songwriting substance, Blush brings the kind of warmth that pulls you onto the floor before you even realize you’ve moved. 

The Extensions — Grand, biting, joyful and impossible to pin down — that’s The Extensions. Armed with their latest record Gravitas and a decade’s worth of conviction, this New Jersey quintet brings weight and wit to every song. Their lead single “Say I Can” alone is worth getting yourself to the show.
