An afternoon of musical performances by popular New Jersey musicians in the intimate outdoor setting of St. John’s Island in Sunset Lake Park.
Jackson Pines is an indie folk duo from Jackson, New Jersey, consisting of Joe Makoviecki and James Black. Both members were previously playing together, since 2011, in the group Thomas Wesley Stern.
It’s hard not to have a good time when watching two old friends who enjoy performing and working a room as much as Ryan Gregg of the Shady Street Show Band and Deseree Spinks of Des and the Swagmatics, two stellar musicians and bandleaders letting loose, belting their favorite tunes from behind their respective pianos, playing off of each other’s licks and laughs. After years of late-night jams until sunrise with friends, they’ve decided to bring their hang to the stage, and thus Soultron was born. With their styles combined, they’ve covered everything from soul, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and much more. Every show is a little different, but every show is guaranteed to be a party you don’t want to miss.
The Mercury Brothers bring an ethereal, raw live performance driven by shared experience & lifelong friendship. Sentimental, abrasive and emotional soundscape spans beyond genre but relays a passionate, unrefined message of sincerity, love and struggle. The Mercury Brothers are a New Jersey band that prides itself on composing and performing unique/original independent rock music with an experimental and progressive edge.
