Thank You for Attending the 2025 Festival!
Thursday, June 26, 2025 @ 9:30PM
ES550, 550 Broad St Newark, NJ 07102
Imagine a comedy show where history gets deliciously twisted with every sip, where audience participation isn’t just welcome — it’s inevitable! Now experience it for real as Drunk Black History serves up the city’s rich heritage with side-splitting laughter! This isn’t your average history lesson — it’s a raucous celebration where Newark’s bold pioneers and fearless activists come alive through comedy.
This is one of two shows happening on the same night. Headlining this second show is Newark’s own Gordon Baker-Bone, the homegrown comedy talent who co-hosts The Bad Advice Show podcast and hails from the same streets that gave us Michael B. Jordan and Whitney Houston. Joining him is the phenomenal Charles McBee, a respected NYC stand-up comedian who’s lit up Gotham Comedy Live and became a fan favorite on FOX’s Laughs and Punchline.
Produced at the innovative EQUAL SPACE, a premium sharespace created with multicultural business owners in mind, this event perfectly blends culture, comedy, cocktails and community in the heart of Newark.
Whether you’re a history buff, comedy lover, or just looking for a night where learning meets laughing, Drunk Black History delivers an experience that’s intimate, inclusive and wildly entertaining. Don’t just witness history — be part of it!
NOTE: There are two separate shows happening this night at 7:30 and 9:30PM. Each show features two different comedians.
